Mod Information
The modification tells the story of the fate of new characters - Alaster and his friend Marik. Both are adventurers - adventurers by nature. They decided to spice up their mundane life in Vengard with a grand expedition in search of an ancient treasure. I wouldn't say that everything went according to their original plan, but they will experience more adventures than they bargained for. Here is a small excerpt from Alaster's diary, describing the beginning of the adventure: The Legend of the Black Sword - a source of powerful magic - I first heard about it in the port tavern in Vengard, the capital of Myrtana. It was told to us by a drunken pirate, and we were not willing to believe the drunken rambling, but then I heard about this weapon again and again, from various people, and slowly it became clear to me that such a sword indeed exists, but none of those who set out to find it returned. This gave rise to even greater rumors and speculations. One day, we got hold of a map with the location of an ancient temple, where the sword and its previous owner were supposedly buried. Treasure hunters, like us, simply couldn't resist the urge to search for it. If only I had known where this search would lead me, I probably would have burned the map, but the gods had prepared a completely different fate for me... After receiving the map, Alaster set out for the island where the Temple of Skulls was located. However, treacherous pirates lure him into a trap. After an unsuccessful battle and an attempt to rescue, he and Marik are captured and then sent to a mine where strict rules apply and where the life of each person is worth no more than a few pieces of ore. Whether they manage to escape from there and find the ancient blade, we will find out as we progress through the modification.
In the mod, there is a huge island where the story takes place. Here is what chroniclers say about it: This island is magnificent with its ancient culture, a relic of a once-great nation, the Feroks. In addition, huge reserves of magical ore have been preserved here, which are needed by both the royal paladins and the warlike orcs. In the middle of the island stands the Temple of Skulls and nearby is the entrance to a huge mine, where under orc control, hundreds of slaves mine ore. Pirates, who camp on one of the beaches, happen to engage in ship raids, and those unfortunate souls who fall into slavery are sold to orcs in exchange for gold and must perform slave labor for them. The remnants of the Feroks hide in the forests on the island in their secret camp. There are only a few of them left, but they are unyielding and hold hope that they will rid their homeland of invaders.
