Golden Gate 2: Heart of the Goddess takes place several years after the events of the first installment. The story follows a young hunter named Morris, whose past is shrouded in mystery. The game is set on the island of Samoa, which appears to be a peaceful place at first glance, but has been witness to dramatic events in the past. In the past, it was inhabited by the Hesans - bloodthirsty cultists who worshiped the dark goddess Hatiret. Although the Hesans were exterminated over 100 years ago, the island still bears many of their remnants. Throughout the game, we uncover many mysteries and make a series of difficult decisions that lead to surprising developments. We also learn how the fate of the Nameless evolved and how the main character influenced the kingdom of Elea.
