Old versions of Gothic and Sequel

Basic information

On this page, you’ll find the original old versions and demos of Gothic, which you can play! You can take a look at how earlier versions of Gothic looked during development and check out things that were ultimately cut from the final game. The original Gothic Sequel is also available here. Additionally, you’ll find a link of the complete Gothic Archive (featuring various interviews, artworks, concept art, and lots of other materials related to Gothic).

In archive, you can download:

- Gothic Sequel Demo (available in Polish, English, and German), which includes original content from before the game's cancellation, featuring the implemented Union, updated scripts, and the game world compiled from the original work files.

- English translation of Finster, the first Gothic demo from 1996.

- Gothic II FPP Mod by Sueski.

To run versions 0.56c and 0.64b, you need to install nGlide first. Then, launch the file nglide_config.exe located in the C:\Windows\WOW64 folder and select a resolution.
Versions 1.01d and 1.01e are included in the same archive. To launch version 1.01e, use the file Gothic.exe; for version 1.01d, use GothicD.exe.
