The main goal of our modification is to expand and elaborate the island of Khorinis within the history of Gothic 1 and Gothic 2. The story of the modification will take place exclusively on the island, with the exception of the islands of Irdorath and Tirith. We're trying to stick to the canonical lore of the games, but if we don't like something or it seems illogical, we'll rework it. We'll mainly focus on story branches for individual guilds and sidequests, such as the story of the island of Tirith from the canonical mobile game Gothic 3 The Beginning, or the southern land of the island of Khorinis, called Drakia. The base we are working on is the map of the island of Khorinis, created by Don Esteban and recognized by Piranha Bytes in the person of Bjorn Pankratz. We are also working on changing the original combat system to make it more varied, but no hardcore, as in the Returns modification, is planned here. The balance and character progression will be close to that of the first game with some minor adjustments.
