Gothic 1: Dark Mysteries by bezimienny111- New Version?

Take this information with a grain of salt – there is no guarantee that this will ever be released. It is still a very fresh development and is currently being discussed only on one Polish Discord server.


It looks like a new version of the **Dark Secrets** mod by **bezymienny111** is in the works. As far as I know, there is no official description yet, only a **Dev Diary** on Discord. However, I wanted to let you know that a potential **new and improved version of Dark Secrets** might be coming in the future.

**1# Dev Diary (21.01.2025)**


Dev Diary covering topics I have worked on or completed recently:


• **Trade modifications (using AFSP)**

o Automatic transaction settlements with merchants without manually adding ore.

o Specific merchants now only buy goods that interest them.

o Different value multipliers for different types of goods.


• **Blacksmithing improvements**

o **New teacher: Huno**

o The forging dialog now displays the required materials along with the amount owned and highlights them in **green/red**.

o Added **5 new Dexterity-based weapons** that can be forged using **Huno’s blueprints**.


• **Uriziel is now available as a one-handed sword and a bow.**

• **Dexterity-based damage scaling added to ranged weapons.**

• **Changes to teachers – removed learning limits for attributes from Chapter 3 onward** (to eliminate worries about bonuses).

• **Adjustments to weapon stats and requirements.**

• **% weapon mastery now provides an additional bonus to critical hit chance.**

• **Ore drink has been removed.**

• **Started changes to the Old Camp as part of the "Farewell to the Colony" and "Old Camp Cleanup" storylines.**

**3# Update 03.02.2025**

• **Added a display showing how many quests (reputation points) are needed to join a camp.**

• **Improved display of new journal entries and notifications for new quests.**

• **Added a requirement for joining the Sect – you must progress in the Fanatic storyline.**

• **Removed Crawler’s special attacks – their web was too strong/lethal, and the poison had a high risk of bugs.**

• **Added the option to reforge Shergar’s sword into a one-hander via Anghar’s dialogue.**

• **Xardas’ golems now spawn only after a dialogue with Saturas (to prevent early access to powerful items).**

• **The corpse for Melkor’s quest now only appears after the relevant dialogue (to prevent early access to powerful armor in the cave).**

• **Added a minimum weapon damage value (5 points).**

• **Attempted fix for giant skeletons dropping weapons (returned them to normal size, suspected model scaling issue).**
