Unimaginable and terrifying things start happening in the Old Camp. Under unexplained circumstances and in a brutal way, the inhabitants of the camp are being killed - especially the diggers. The killer remains elusive to the guards. At the same time, one of the most powerful red barons, Oldrik, unexpectedly disappears. Rumours circulate in the castle that this Oldrik is a practitioner of black magic. Anton, once the best tracker in Khorinis, is assigned the task of finding the red baron. The area of the Mining Valley is shrouded in thick darkness. Could it be that evil forces are haunting the colonies?
