During the presentation, some more complex questions were raised, and we decided to provide detailed answers here (hopefully!).

Why did the name Meryl appear in the first part of Golden Gate?

We wondered why the Nameless Hero didn’t want to reveal his name. There had to be a reason, but what was it? Maybe he simply didn’t like it or was embarrassed by it? Or perhaps his parents gave him a name that was considered ridiculous? That’s where the name Meryl came from. Originally, it was meant as a joke about the protagonist’s reluctance to disclose his name, but over the years, we realized that it was a mistake that significantly disrupted the lore. That’s why we removed this option in the final patch for the first part.

Will there be an option for a romance with a man in the second part?

No, this option will not be available, as Morris—similar to Geralt from The Witcher—is heterosexual and is only interested in women.

Is the story of the second part contradictory to the content of The Chronicles of Myrtana?

Absolutely not! Our storyline takes place in a completely different time period and on an island far from Archolos, but the characters in Golden Gate 2 are aware of its existence.
