- As I mentioned in my previous post, major updates to the New Balance mod are coming to an end, but a new SNC is in the pipeline, and besides that, there should only be new releases from time to time to fix bugs, bugs, etc.
- In one of the threads on the Russian forum it was suggested to us to change SNC, there are quite a lot of things that should be changed.
- Eventually though, it will be a separate SNC mode called "Absolute".
- The new mode can be selected in the Start menu (new game) and will be available from the next patch.
- This new mode is made the same way as the old SNC one, it depends on what the hero has in his hand.
- Knowledge Points are not earned for the hero's level, in fact they do not exist in this mode
- The development formulas have been changed, now you can only fully develop your hero through SNC development
- Health will be given instead of bonus Knowledge Points (for books, Loa, etc).
- You can't learn weapon control from teachers.
- You can't learn strength, dexterity, mana from teachers.
- You cannot learn health and stamina from teachers.
- Intelligence for SNC is now available.
- Intelligence for summoning will only be given to mages, but is generally given for magic damage with spells or staffs/magical swords".
- Magic power does not increase for learned runes.
- Intelligence is not given for learned rings.
- Regenerative skills require certain traits to be learned
- Certain loot (sorrel extracts) is given for bosses instead of Knowledge points. Sometimes there are other bonuses (loot is not random)."
- There is no longer a chapter limit on learning magic circles.
- You need a certain amount of mana and intelligence to learn the circles.
- Dexterity is no longer given for learning thieving skills.
- Stealing from every 30th NPC now gives Dexterity +1 (no chapter limit).
- The bonuses for smithing, alchemy and runecrafting are no longer limited by chapter, but the total number has been reduced.
- Guild skills also cost 0 Knowledge Points and can only be learned for gold and stat requirements.
Some skills (such as Actobatics) require more stats to learn.
- For every 50 Intelligence gained (in SNC), +1 Magic Power is added.
- To start learning alchemy, you must first read the book "Fundamentals of Alchemy".
- To start learning blacksmithing, you must first read the book "Fundamentals of Blacksmithing".
- Learning potions no longer gives you intelligence
- Learning new smithing recipes requires strength and smithing skills.
- Learning new alchemy recipes requires intelligence and alchemy skill
- Learning new hunting skills requires dexterity and hunting skill.
- Hunting skill is a new skill. It increases when you take a trophy from an enemy (meat does not count). For every +100 to the hunting skill, you gain a +1 Dexterity bonus.
- Shields can be worn all at once, there is now a skill from 0 to 100.
- Shieldbearer abilities are unlocked incrementally by the teachers as the skill and strength requirements improve.
