Gothic 2: New Balance - Update 16.03.2024 [Absolute SnC]

A new SnC mode, Absolute SnC, has been added to the game.

1. Mortis is now taking off his guns while trading.

2. Lisa and her cat now successfully move to Onar's farm in chapter 7.

3. Fixed the effect of magical damage on summoners. The penalty now only occurs for runes (-75%), not scrolls.

4. Fixed the healing of undead on Summoners. If the hero's health is insufficient, using a rune will kill the hero.

5. Fixed a bug in the druid damage calculation on the old SnC.

6. Dice game has been improved. In fact, it has been overhauled from the ground up. 7. Updated interface / dialogues

7. Fixed a bug with the penalty for defeating Cornelius (if he has already escaped).

8. Grit can now only be taken if the bandits are dead.

9. Paladin Orik and Orc appear immediately, not after dialogue with Yergan.

10. If the hero refuses to accept Asmal into the guild, he will attack the hero and the guards will attack the hero when they see Asmal.

List of changes to "Absolute SnC"

- The hero does not get Knowledge points per level, in fact there are none in this mode.

- Learning patterns have been changed, now the hero can only be fully learned when learning SnC.

- Health will be awarded instead of additional VB(for books, Loa, etc).

- Mastery - Weapon skills cannot be learned from teachers.

- Strength, Dexterity and Mana cannot be learned from teachers.

- Health and stamina cannot be learned from teachers.

- Intelligence for SnC is now available.

- Intelligence will only be granted to mages, but is generally granted for magical damage caused by spells or staffs/magical swords.

- Magic power does not increase with learned runes.

- Intelligence is not granted for learned runes.

- Regenerative skills require certain stats to learn

- Instead of VB for bosses, a bonus is accumulated and certain loot (sorrel extracts) is awarded. The bonus is cumulative, i.e. it is not awarded for every boss.

- Sometimes other bonuses appear (loot is not random).

- There is no longer a chapter limit for learning magic circles.

- A certain amount of mana and intelligence is required to learn the rings.

- Dexterity is no longer granted for learning thief skills.

- Stealing every 30th npc now gives +1 to Dexterity (no chapter limit).

- The bonuses to smithing, alchemy and runecrafting are no longer limited by chapters, but the total number has been reduced.

- Guild skills also cost 0 VB they can only be learned with gold and the necessary stats.

- Some skills (such as acrobatics) require more stats to learn.

- For every 50 intelligence gained(applies to SNC), +1 magic power is granted.

- To start learning alchemy, you must first read the book "Fundamentals of Alchemy".

- To start learning blacksmithing, you must first read the book "Fundamentals of Blacksmithing".

- Learning potions no longer grants intelligence.

- Learning new smithing recipes requires strength and smithing skills.

- Learning new alchemical recipes requires intelligence and alchemical skills.

- Learning new hunting skills requires Dexterity and hunting skills.

- A hunting skill is a new skill. It increases when you get trophies from enemies (meat doesn't count). The skill is not awarded for every monster! For every +100 to the hunting skill, you get a +1 Dexterity bonus.

- Hunting skills and Dexterity bonus are recorded in the stats (in the trophy section).

- Shields can be worn at the same time, now their skill ranges from 0 to 100. Teachers unlock the shield skill after meeting the skill + strength requirements.

- Added the ability to change the amount of damage added to the SnC table. The default value is 100/. To change this, find the line in the settings file called RX_FULLSNC_KOEF=100 and replace the number 100 with the desired value. Allowable values range from 30 to 200. The higher the value, the faster the scoring (set before a new game).

- Up to 10 swings with owned weapons of any type without increasing the requirements.

- Added an ore armor shard at the beginning of the game. After spending 25 to 75 karma points(depending on the hero's guild) on god statues, the shard can be charged and choose its bonus (permanent, cannot be changed). For each level of the hero, this bonus increases. There is no level limit. Gods have different bonuses. The shard itself can be found on the floor at the beginning of the game (no new game required).

- Skill training for gold increases by 50%.

- Dummies are disabled in this mode.

- Stats requirements are increased by 30% in Nightmare mode with difficulty.
