Here’s a new soundtrack from the upcoming Sailors of the Storm mod, along with some information shared by the creators on their Discord, which I’ve gathered here.
A few hours ago, a new soundtrack was uploaded to the official YouTube channel of this mod-in-progress. This track will play in the city of Khelen. Khelen is not a large city like Archolos or an important trade center like Khorinis. However, it is a provincial and relatively peaceful town—though even here, you might get clubbed in a dark alley.
The Water Mages reside in the city, and just outside of town, the Fire Mages have a church and a cemetery. Currently, there is no monastery in Khelen, at least not one in usable condition.

The author also mentions that they will soon present something small related to magic: a showcase of the new rune designs. A style for the symbols has finally been found that beautifully combines elements from Gothic 1 and Gothic 2, while fitting the mood of the mod.
If everything goes as planned, magical staves will receive a dedicated set of animations divided into three learning levels. They will require mana and provide bonuses for mages. There’s also a possibility of implementing an idea inspired by Gothic 3: the ability to block spells with a staff as an additional skill that can be learned.
At the moment, the composer has completed 20 tracks, and the number continues to grow.
The main storyline is practically finished, while side quests are being left for later. Although a few are already in development, the priority is to finalize the main story arc and integrate it into the game.
There will be some bosses. I think I mentioned that the plans include named trolls, as they will be rare enough in Khelen for the locals to consider them immortal beasts.
Defeating them will yield generous rewards.
Additionally, there will be a few other challenges.
