During a livestream of the Gothic remake on GameStar with producer Reinhard Pollic and composer Kai Rosenkranz, some information about the game was also revealed. Here is the - incomplete - list:
- Old voice actors will be used for the new voice acting (dubbing) of the characters, but not all have been verified as available yet.
- The old dialogue from the original game no longer works, as there are often new, additional dialogue options, which would lead to mixed tones.
- The iconic scream of the scavenger doesn't always sound, but is present only occasionally and fits into the overall picture. This also applies to all sound effects and NPC commentary: everything that is familiar from the original is set in new sound effects.
- The locations have been logically expanded: for example, the exchange point now has a sleeping place for the guards, since it is logical that they also spend the night there and do not return to the Old Camp every night; after all, the exchange point is also fortified with a gate.
- Burning torches can be stuck into the ground to keep our hands free.
- The familiar roasting of meat has been expanded into a full-fledged cooking skill with recipes.
- Modifications will not be possible for everything, but changes to mechanics will be possible.
- No decision has yet been made on releasing Nyras' demo as a public demo.
- The soundtrack has been expanded, but there are no synthetic elements, but more authentic ones. It is now more dynamic than the original, according to Kai, "more lively with more ups and downs".
- As for In Extremo? The stage is indeed present, but whether anyone will be performing on it, and if so, who it will be, has not yet been revealed.
- In combat you'll only be stunned and not killed immediately, this probably applies to actual attacks on NPCs as well. So the final killing blow is present again.
- Saving will (unlike in the demo) be possible when
