Mordan MMORPG - List of Recent Changes

📜 Mordan Changelog (Since February 9, 2025)

Because the posts about Mordan weren’t getting much attention, I haven’t shared any updates from this server recently. However, following my recent videos, Gothic Online has gained a bit more visibility in our region, so here’s a full list of all changes since my last post here on February 9, 2025.

🛡️ New Features & PvP Changes

  • Added the ability to enable/disable PvP mode in safe zones via the main menu (cooldown: 2 hours).

  • Activating PvP mode grants the following bonuses from regular monsters:

    • +5% experience

    • +10% gold

    • +10% item drop rate

    • +50% chance for rare plants/ores

    • Additional drop of basic ores/plants

PvP Mode is always active in:

  • Elite Chest Zones

  • MiniBoss fights

  • World Boss fights

The PK system (player killing outside of PvP mode) has been removed.

🧭 Changes in Elite Zones

  • Added a new Elite Chest Zone – Free Mine

  • Existing Elite Zones rebalanced for solo players

  • Monsters in Elite Zones now have a chance to drop chest loot

  • Monster drop rates in Elite Zones significantly increased

  • New minibosses may appear in Stone Fortress and Free Mine – guaranteed drop of Dragon Scales and Dragon Blood

⚙️ Balance & Mechanics

  • Two new Mythic Set Rings added – obtainable:

    • From chests or monsters in Stone Fortress and Free Mine

    • By crafting with enhancement items

  • Sleeper's Relics can now be found in chests in the harder version of Sleeper's Temple II

  • Added ability to craft Mythic weapons from Sleeper’s Relics

  • After a Bloodstone battle ends, a safe zone activates until the boss is defeated

  • Aura of Life spell no longer scales with the number of enemies

  • Damage Resistance balancing:

    • Number of negation stacks required for maximum resistance reduced to 5

    • Increased resistance per negation stack

  • Group healing rune’s healing and scaling with critical damage has been reduced

  • Tanks now receive an additional +15% power bonus from:

    • Armor penetration resistance

    • Critical hit resistance

🧰 Fixes & Tweaks (Feb 10, 2025)

  • Fixed the Negation spell

  • Reduced item and gold rewards in Stone Fortress and Free Mine

  • Reduced gathering bonuses while PvP mode is active

  • Armor penetration and critical damage restored in PvP

  • Increased healing from the group healing rune

  • Fixed Firestorm spell

⚡ Updates (Feb 13–15, 2025)

  • Lightning Strike now hits more enemies

  • Blooddrinker spell – bonus duration increased

  • Lightning Strike now deals 40% damage to additional targets at each upgrade level

  • Completing certain quests increases inventory capacity (also retroactively)

  • Knowledge Stones added for lower levels – used to change item bonuses, crafted via the Runic Table

  • Gold Rush event updated – monsters now contribute to event progress; mining rocks gives additional resources

  • Guild chat color changed

  • Increased quest rewards

Continuing the full English translation of the changelog:

⚔️ Update – Feb 18–19, 2025

  • Increased monster damage for 1h/2h melee fighters and archers

  • Reduced the minimum number of players required to fight bosses in statue events to 2

  • Added Seal of Balance, craftable at the Runic Table or obtainable from world events

  • Before entering the Depths for the first time, players can now roll for difficulty using the Seal of Balance – higher difficulty means better rewards

  • Enhanced Depths may now contain a miniboss from the main map; their trophy is found in a chest

  • Knowledge Stone drops added to enhanced Depths

  • Statue bosses can now drop standard trophies

  • Added private instance access to Free Mine and Fortress for up to 2 hours daily (resets at midnight, max 3 players):

    • Fortress: NPC before the bridge

    • Free Mine: NPC at tunnel’s end

  • World Boss rewards increased

  • New costumes added to the shop

  • Feomathar buffed – difficulty increased

  • Feomathar on the main map now drops additional 8% and 10% gems and Knowledge Stones

  • Feomathar spawns daily at 20:00, and at 19:00 on Saturdays/Sundays

  • Bloodstone battles moved to weekends

  • Armor now protects against bleeding from Fortress/Free Mine bosses

  • Event rewards increased

  • Free aim module removed – now included by default in Gothic 2 Online client

🧙 Update – Feb 21–22, 2025

  • Added a stronger version of Fangorn, available in the statue in the first city (from level 60)

  • Removed switches in Sleeper’s Temple II – now you must defeat courtyard monsters to summon the Sleeper

  • Fixed bug with Lightning Spell not dealing bonus damage to additional targets

  • Improved skeleton mage behavior in the Depths

  • Fixed bleed effect in the Depths

  • In Enhanced Depths, any miniboss from the map can now spawn if the player level matches or exceeds theirs

  • Improved miniboss drops in Free Mine

  • Fixed crash related to Castle Defense quest

  • Added option to disable fire effects from Firestorm spell (they were causing crashes)

  • Increased item drops from Depths monsters

  • Increased harvested plant quantities in Gathering:

    • Level 25 = +2 plants

    • Level 50 = +3 plants

  • Added new hunts starting at level 60

  • Added more monsters and accelerated the Goblin event in the Penal Colony

  • Fixed Blooddrinker spell behavior when used with Firestorm

  • Added Knowledge Stone drops in group dungeons

⛏️ Update – Mar 1–2, 2025

  • Teleport cooldown after dealing damage reduced from 30s to 15s

  • Fixed critical damage bug on Mythic weapons

  • Shields now provide a bonus to HP

  • In PvP, stamina drops to 10% when hit, but sprint remains usable for chasing

  • Changed how armor penetration resistance works – now absorbs damage based on player’s HP in PvP

  • Changed how armor penetration bonus works in PvP

  • Terror spell active damage reduced to: 2% / 3% / 5% / 8% / 10% / 12% / 14%

  • New spell added: Reduces incoming healing for enemies (affects runes & regeneration)

  • Adjusted HP values in item bonuses

  • Fixed healing projectiles for guildmates

  • PvP damage reduced by 20%

  • Fixed Negation spell display

  • Increased crossbow damage and its monster effectiveness

  • Added Old Mine

  • Added ability to craft Mythic Armor

  • Weakened monsters in Depths (level 60)

  • New monsters added to Depths in Mining Valley

  • PvP zone expanded on the volcano

  • Added new entrance to the volcano

🔥 Update – Mar 3–4, 2025

  • Expanded volcano PvP zone to cover the new entrance

  • Mythic Rings now grant 3% of each bonus when worn together

  • If a sprinting warrior takes damage outside of combat, sprint stays active for 3s

  • Updated Negation calculations; at 5 charges it’s stronger than Aura of Life with 3 enemies

  • Added spell casting limit to prevent high FPS from boosting cast speed

  • Changed NPC location in front of Old Mine

  • Added new damage indicators for PvP absorption (archers deal double value)

  • Fixed bleed effect

  • Firestorm now deals equal AoE damage to all surrounding monsters

  • Slightly faster spell casting

  • Improved PvP zone in Old Mine

  • Healing runes only work on players with the same PvP status

  • Added block-piercing chance until separate stamina bar is implemented

  • Blocked entrance to Old Mine via swimming

  • Fixed Firestorm and Lightning Strike spells

Continuing the full English translation — now covering updates from March 9 to March 12, 2025:

🧬 Update – March 9, 2025 (13:06)

  • Max level increased to 70

  • New Master Levels added – unlocked at level 70

  • Profession level cap increased

New Locations:

  • Swamp region unlocked

  • New areas added north of the swamps

New Bosses:

  • New World Boss: Frost Dragon Finkregh

  • New minibosses spawning in the newly added regions

🔮 Altar of Awakening (Swamp)

  • Seekers now appear on the map

  • Killing a certain number of Seekers unlocks a global instance

  • Inside the instance, players can obtain an item required to upgrade gear to +15

  • Entrance to the instance is located in the swamp

🏆 Trophy Rework

  • Trophies can now be disassembled into parts

  • Trophy parts increase success rate when fusing trophies

  • Parts gained based on trophy level:

    • Level 1–19: 1 part

    • Level 20–34: 2 parts

    • Level 35–49: 3 parts

    • Level 50–70: 4 parts

  • Fused trophies yield significantly more parts

💎 Mythic Gear Expansion

  • 2 new tiers of Mythic items added

  • +15 Mythic items can now be upgraded to a higher tier (T2 ➜ T3)

  • T2+ gear can mix bonuses via Focusing Stones

  • Added Summoning Scrolls that spawn bosses with drops including new Mythic gear

  • New Life Potions added

  • Abuse of "Fix Character" in PvP zones is now blocked

  • Ctrl + Alt + F8 shortcut is now blocked

🎯 Update – March 9, 2025 (22:42)

  • Improved random item drops in parties from monsters above level 60

  • Boss summoning now only allowed in Mining Valley

  • Legendary item upgrades unlocked up to +15 for level 60+

  • Summoned bosses and Seekers no longer aggressive by default

  • Mythic rings can now be transformed into a new item (from level 61+)

  • Improved item drops from Demonic Scavengers

  • PvP protection added after leaving the Altar

  • New “Fullness of Life” item now available at NPCs

🎓 Update – March 10–11, 2025

  • Experience requirements for higher levels reduced

  • Player tracking disabled near the Altar

  • Everyone entering the Altar instance now gets boss rewards

  • Quest experience rewards increased

  • Fixed player damage bugs

  • Fixed entry to private instances and Sleeper's Temple II

  • You can now exchange Mythic items for Focusing Stones

  • T2 Mythic weapons and armor can be re-forged into new items

    • Bonuses are re-rolled

    • Weapons keep 3 guaranteed (but weaker) bonuses

  • Focusing Stones allow rerolling of Mythic bonuses

  • Level 70 hunting improved

  • Chest opening for level 61+ fixed

  • To enter the Altar, players must defeat at least one Seeker

  • Boss reward in Altar only granted if player damaged monsters or boss

  • PvP disabled around the Altar entrance

  • Safe zone added at the teleport location on the new island

🗺️ Update – March 12, 2025

  • Added a map for the new island with teleport points

  • Removed downgrade on failed item enhancements for +11 to +15 items

  • You can now exchange Luck Scrolls for Blessing Scrolls at the Runic Table

  • Blessing Scrolls can now be used when upgrading +11 to +15 gear

  • Altar entrance unlocks 1 minute after killing Seekers

  • Dragon Blood, Skulls, and Dragon Scales are now tradeable

🧊 March 12, 2025 (Evening)

  • Increased upgrade success rate for items

  • Fixed bug with entering the Altar

  • Added additional indicators for the Frost Dragon boss fight

  • Fixed bug causing excessive damage from Mythic armor

Possible Mythic bonuses (Weapons):

  • +20% critical hit damage

  • +20% armor penetration

Possible Mythic bonuses (Armor):

  • 25% chance to deal 50% more damage

  • Bleeding effect

  • +30% HP (does not affect HP regeneration bonuses)

  • +20% damage, -5% armor

  • +5% armor, -12.5% damage

Enchanting Stone & Soul Stone V Drop Update:

  • Enchanting Stone drop increased by ~40% from all sources

  • Soul Stones V now drop from monsters level 61–70

New Enchanting Stone Sources:

  • Minibosses in the Swamp and Island

  • World Bosses: Feomathar and Finkregh

  • Summoned bosses (Scrolls)

  • Monsters in Mountain Fortress, Free Mine, and Old Mine

  • Improved movement speed bonuses on new items

  • Added stat allocation for Master Levels

  • Adjusted bonus values on new items

⚔️ March 14, 2025

  • Mythic weapons and armor can now be reforged

  • Fixed a bug with Altar entry

  • Added new combat indicators for the Frost Dragon

  • Fixed a bug causing overpowered damage from Mythic armor

🛡️ March 16, 2025

  • Added ability for guilds to form alliances (both sides need proper permissions)

  • Improved plant and ore spawn rates in Mining Valley

  • Fixed armor penetration functionality on gear for lvl 61+

  • Added Summoning Scroll: Demon Prince

  • Added Depths dungeon for levels 61–70

  • Reduced Mythic armor bonus damage from 50% to 33%

  • Max stack size increased from 65,000 to 900,000

  • Fangorn boss can now be done up to level 70

  • Altar entrance moved in front of the Monastery

👹 March 20, 2025

  • Added 2 new respawns for Demon Lord miniboss – drops a new trophy

  • Increased HP of monsters in Brotherhood Camp and scaled up their drops

  • Added 2 new arena monsters

  • Moved teleport away from the Frost Dragon’s spawn

  • Added teleport to Marcos' Mine

  • Increased spawn rate of new plants on the island

  • Added a rune that converts attacks into AoE for warriors and archers

  • Removed monsters from Frost Dragon’s cave

  • Expanded PvP zone inside Frost Dragon’s cave

  • Fix Character and Ctrl+Alt+F8 now work in dungeons

  • Increased healing from Fullness of Life

  • Improved respawn of Frost Lizards at Frost Dragon statue

  • Increased density of Orc Slaves and Temple Guards

  • Added key drops to Irdorath Castle from level 61+ monsters

🗿 March 20, 2025 (Evening)

  • Fixed Frost Dragon-related bug

  • Added Weak Frost Dragon Head to the statue in town

  • Chests in Depths can now be opened in parties

  • Magic Blade Rune now deals:

    • 100% damage to main target

    • 40% AoE damage to others

🏹 March 24, 2025

  • Arrow and bolt speed increased by 50%

  • Healing effectiveness from equipment above level 60 reduced

  • Increased HP of ice stalactites during Frost Dragon fight

  • Frost Dragon despawns 3 hours after spawning

  • Summoning Scrolls can now only be used on empty arenas

  • Fixed bonus display when combining trophies

  • Increased PvE damage for Warriors

  • Crossbow damage reduced

  • Holding Left Shift allows adding 100 Beast Claws in the trophy merge window

  • Improved Seeker drop rates near the Altar

  • Fixed anti-cheat false kicks when switching characters

  • Added chests to the Brotherhood Camp in Mining Valley

🔧 March 25, 2025 – Hotfix

  • Arrow/bolt speed boost reduced from 50% ➝ 25%

  • Healing penalty on level 61+ equipment reduced to 14%

  • PvP damage scaling for warriors increased by ~10%

  • Fixed interaction between Freeze effect and Lightning Strike

  • Fixed Lightning Strike mechanic – now works correctly

New Critical Resistance & Damage Absorption Changes:

  • For every extra 1% of critical resistance (beyond ~50–60%), you gain +0.3% monster damage resistance, max 30%

  • This resistance does not apply to World Bosses or Dungeon Bosses

Next: March 26–27 updates including the release of the Irdorath Dungeon, Hunter’s Talisman, and T3 system.

⚒️ March 26, 2025 – Hotfix

  • Fixed experience gain for Master Levels

  • Fixed damage resistance in the Freeze spell

  • Added ability to summon minibosses as a group

🏰 March 27, 2025 – Major Update

New Dungeon: Irdorath Castle

  • Entry located on the beach near the teleport in Mining Valley

  • ⚠️ Using the "Fix Character" function here causes death – temporary solution for a bug causing characters to float/swim

Tier 3 Gear (T3) Expansion

  • T2 Mythic gear can now be upgraded to T3

  • New quest available from Roland in the Monastery (GD) – reward: Hunter's Talisman

  • New Trinket: Hunter's Talisman

    • Usable after charging with Beliar’s Essence

    • Effect lasts 2 hours, can be extended to 8 hours

    • Right-click Beliar’s Essence → Use

    • Talisman is upgradeable at the blacksmith

New Gem Slot System for T3 Gear

  • T3 equipment now has two gem slots:

    • One for traditional gems

    • One for new T3 crystals

New T3 Crystals can be obtained from:

  • Dungeon: Irdorath Castle

  • Temple Guards in the swamp

  • Monsters in the new zone

  • Crystals can be upgraded:

    • Trade with Blacksmith ➝ receive Black Pearl

    • Upgrade at Mage using Black Pearl

Other Additions:

  • New cave on the island with unique monsters

  • Added new upgrade scrolls for T3 gear, exchangeable via the Runic Table

🔧 March 27, 2025 – Hotfix (Evening)

  • Fixed arena layout for the Irdorath Castle boss

  • Fixed item disappearance during trades

  • Fixed bugs related to damage

  • Gem upgrade chance for new gems is now 100%

  • Fixed bug related to item upgrading
