After 30 hours in the New Camp, I didn't encounter any issues, so I decided to publish the plugin on the forum as well.
This plugin is for Gothic 1 and Gothic 2, designed for use with the Dx11 mod. Thanks to this plugin, the day and night skies will change randomly—each day and night will have a different appearance, even when loading a game.
The skies used are from Vurt's Skies, but you can also create your own and add them. Random textures intended for selection must be placed in the folder:system\GD3D11\Textures\CustomSky\.
Daytime textures must follow the format:
SkyDay_GX_N.dds
Nighttime textures:
SkyNight_GX_N.dds
Where:X - version of Gothic (1 or 2)N - texture number.
You can create your own textures or download examples from the Nexusmods user vurt: Vurt's Skies for GD3D11.
For testing purposes, I have prepared some of his nighttime and daytime textures in the correct format: CustomSky.7z.To ensure the plugin works, you need my version of DX11 (GD3D11-17.8-dev18_hedin).
Installation:
Update/Install DX11:
Remove the old DX11 and the folder system\GD3D11\.
Extract and copy the contents of GD3D11-17.8-dev18_hedin.zip into the /system folder of the Gothic game.
(You must use Hedin's specially modified DX11 mod.)
Extract the contents of CustomSky.7z:
Copy the entire CustomSky folder into system\GD3D11\Textures\.
Download the latest version:
Hedin_Union_ChangeSkyTexture.vdf
Copy it into the /Data/Plugins folder of the Gothic game.
