Mod Information

Awakening is a modification that converts Gothic I to the Gothic II engine. In addition to the original quests and mechanics, it contains elements from other mods, such as the Miners of the Valley and Dark Secrets, as well as elements from other projects. Many unique quests have also been added that you won't find in other mods. Removed locations that should have been part of the game but were never completed have been restored, and difficulty levels have been introduced for those who enjoy a challenge. The expansion once again invites you to visit the Mining Valley in a refreshed version and rediscover its secrets.

Characteristics

- There are 3 levels of difficulty:
- Easy - identical to Night of the Raven
- Medium - minimum damage: 2, the character deals slightly less damage. The damage received is slightly increased.
- Difficult - minimum damage: 1:1, the character deals much less damage. The damage received is much higher.
- Opportunity to become a guru
- New camps for which we can complete quests
- Dedicating a weapon to a god. Each deity offers different bonuses
- New pieces of equipment: shields and helmets
- New NPC progressions that bring the world to life
- Elements from other mods have been implemented: Smuggler's Camp, Royal Guard and others.....
- Free aiming for ranged weapons and magic
- Ability to learn to fight with a staff

Changes compared to the Russian version

 

- Added additional information to the object descriptions and standardized descriptions
- Added immunity to non-player damage for many NPCs that were dying easily while moving around the map
- Added quest title display to journal entries
- Added display of missing experience to next level when gaining experience
- Lots of other minor improvements...
- Fixed third party dialogue in trilogue
- Pickaxes no longer stack
- NPCs that did not respond to stealing will now not comment on the player opening the chest over and over again
- Restored the sound spoken by the hero when he doesn't have the key to open the chest, for example
- Replaced the healing plant models to match the models in Gothic 3.  Changed seraphis model
- NPCs following players no longer stay in slow walk mode
- Fixed some npcs that were talking to the hero very far away from him
- Fixed a bug where the guru's staff provided a bonus to darkness spells as well, and the darkness staff did nothing
- Names of many interactive wobos now display correctly

Instalation

 

- Install Gothic 2.
- Download Union Resource manager and install Resource Patch + Union

- Download and install the mod Awakening
- Download and move the English version of the Awakening mod to the Gothic folder.
- If you want to play with the Directx11 graphics enhancement download and place in the system folder -

- If you want to play with plugins such as time acceleration, fast picking, new inventory etc.. check the Union section and find the plugins you like, download them and put them in the Data folder.
