In a penal colony with a barrier, the earth trembles as the Sleeper is sent back to his dimension. KRUSHK, as the orcs call him, has conquered several Templars led by Cor Kalom, the Guru of the swamp camp. Blinded by visions, they made their way to the temple beneath the orc city to awaken their master, Sleeper. But the fanatics are pursued by a man driven by the desire to escape their magical prison. Wading through dangerous traps, hordes of undead and powerful shamans, he survives only through the magical energy of his weapon and armour. Eventually he confronts the Sleeper in battle: with great difficulty, he manages to pierce the Archdemon's heart and banish KRUSHKA back to his dimension. His disappearance cancels the power of the magical barrier and the prisoners can escape to freedom. At the same time, however, the temple of Sleeper collapses and the person who caused the barrier to be lifted and Sleeper to be banished is buried in the rubble. It is shrouded in deep darkness.
Beginning
The weeks are ticking away. Xardas, the demon summoner, is not idle, leaving his undead servants to frantically and unsuccessfully search for his protégé. But all life has vanished from the ruins of the temple. Xardas resigns and surrenders. Was he supposed to be the chosen one? Probably not. And yet the hero miraculously reawakens. His vision is not fully clear, and his other senses seem to be impaired. The damage caused by his involuntary burial seems immense. At least he's not in any pain. He inhales and exhales slowly, stirring up the dust on the floor. Breathing, strangely, brings him no satisfaction. Worriedly, he moves the fingers of his left hand, then his arm, and finally his legs. Debris drips from his back, the heavy stones only falling to the ground with a clatter after a hard jerk. Despite the strange numbness, he manages to stand up without any problems. Where does the numbness come from? He takes off his glove. When he sees the rotten chunks of flesh hanging from his hand, the white bones standing out clearly in the dim light, he begins to understand the circumstances under which he returned from his stupor. But this is only the first unpleasant surprise that awaits him. The second is the ghost of Cor Kalom.
"Who do we have here? You look fine." He lets out a vicious growl. "This is the proper punishment for your transgression!" He raises his hand and shows Nameless the back of his middle finger. "You didn't fare any better..." replies our hero. The lumbering figure jerks. "What, how? Are you talking? Your spirit hasn't left your body?" "No," he replies. He pauses. "Well, it doesn't change the fact that the temple of the sleeper will be your final resting place. There is no way out of it! No, no!" His voice grows louder and echoes through the deserted hall like the cawing of a raven. "You will never leave this place! And I will watch your insides slowly rot!" Cor Kalom floats away into the vast temple landscape to the sound of laughter. Neither dead nor alive, the Nameless One is now a prisoner of the temple ruins. Still searching for his old life, he is unaware of the disaster looming outside his prison: a hooded figure wreaking havoc on the peaceful island of Khorinis. It roams the land like a plague, poisoning all who cross its path...
